Tern Rounders bring to the stage a distinctive take on the American roots tradition, with their hard-charging honky-tonk shuffles, cosmic country and vocal-harmony-driven folk rock. Their 2010 self-titled CD was named #1 Local Album of the Year in the Times Union and appeared on several other Top 10 lists including the Daily Gazette and Nippertown. They recently played at Saratoga’s First Night, Dinosaur BBQ and made radio appearances on WEXT, WVCR and Crumbs Cafe.
Tern Rounders continue to spread the word about the debut of their second full-length album with several local performances and a revised lineup. The album was released in September and has already been met with great praise, having been described by local music reviewer Michael Eck as featuring a “taut roots sound”—confirming that the band continues to live up to their title as the “Americana sweethearts” of the Capital Region music scene.
